After iPhone 13 was announced in September, many repair shops noticed that it wasn’t possible to replace the device’s screen without disabling Face ID. After several complaints, Apple confirmed that it would no longer restrict DIY screen replacement for iPhone 13 — and now those restrictions are gone with the latest beta version of iOS 15.2. As shown in a video from repair shop iCorrect (via the Verge), iOS 15.2 beta no longer disables Face ID when the user replaces the iPhone 13 screen with another one without moving the microcontroller from the original phone to the other....

Following yesterday’s story by the usually accurate Japanese blog Macotakara on Apple’s Japan arm rolling out iTunes in the Cloud for music, Japanese music journal AV Watch reported this morning that the California-based iPod maker has its sights set high on the 130 million people market. According to the report, customers in Japan are now finally able to purchase and download music on iOS devices through 3G cellular networks rather than just wireless hotspots, as before....

Tim Cook has emailed Apple staff on the 4th anniversary of the passing of Steve Jobs, thanking them for “remembering both who he was and what he stood for,” reports the Telegraph. Instagram’s IGTV spin-off hasn’t yet gained widespread adoption, especially through the standalone IGTV app itself.
