Josh Brolin approves of a nifty looking Avengers: Infinity War poster featuring Thanos and the Black Order. With only one month left before debut, Disney and Marvel Studios continue to promote the upcoming epic blockbuster to keep people’s interest in it. Following the release of the movie’s second trailer, shorter TV spots have rolled out, as well as several character posters. But while the conversation is currently centered on the heroes, the movie also largely hinges on its villain, the Mad Titan, and his four main henchmen who will stop at nothing just to acquire all six Infinity Gems.
Marvel Studios does not have a very good villain track record. Except for a handful of memorable ones such as Thor’s Loki, Black Panther‘s Killmonger and Spider-Man: Homecoming‘s Vulture, the rest of the franchise’s bad guys are underbaked and generic. And while Thanos has been built-up to be the biggest and baddest adversary that the MCU has seen in its 10 years, the galactic antagonist will still need some help, particularly from his reimagined children
Shared by Brolin himself on his official Instagram account is a creation of digital artist BossLogic who is known for making poster mock-ups for blockbuster films, as well as popular TV series. It features Thanos and the Black Order - Corvus Glaive, Cull Obsidian, Ebony Maw and Proxima Midnight. Up until now, not much is known regarding the villainous foursome but Marvel Studios Kevin Feige teased on some familiar voices voicing the antagonists. Check out the illustration below:
The one-sheet mines asthetic from the previously released official ones featuring the mini teams in Infinity War. As we know, the Russos have split the massive cast into smaller groups in order to give all of them enough time under the spotlight. The process mixing and matching characters was admittedly tricky, but fans are already excited to find out how these hero combos are going to work on the big screen. As for Thanos’ four henchmen, we expect that they’d also be split into twos considering that we have seen snippets of Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive going up against Scarlett Witch and Vision, while Ebony Maw takes on Doctor Strange.
Similarly, BossLogic has previously created a mock-up of the original posters, but with superheroes that we have yet to see in any of the promos for Avengers: Infinity War such as Hawkeye (who has been the subject of many other fan-made posters) also sporting his expected Ronin get-up, as well as Ant-Man and the soon-to-debut, the Wasp in their forthcoming titular movie. It’s unclear how much screen time the aforementioned three will get in the ensemble flick. But the filmmakers promised that those who had little to do in Avengers 3 will be front and center for its sequel.
